You need to get involved in the marketing of your home. Also, no matter what type of market it is you should want the most money you can get for your home and not be afraid to ask for it. The major thing you need to do is make sure that there is no one on the planet who does not know that your house is on the market. Everywhere you go, talk about it. You never know who wants to buy or who knows someone who wants to buy.
